Moment 108 - Banana Boat Ride

In a resort, there are always some amenities to spice up the fun of the visitors.  I know that there are new challenging and fun-filled activities aside from the banana boat ride.

In relation to my post a week ago, we also enjoyed our day with a banana boat ride.  Almost all visitors of the island wanted to have a ride including us.  Actually, we were the last ones to enjoy the ride.

It is a common knowledge of the riders that the one controlling the banana boat will eventually force the banana boat to capsize, throwing the riders to the sea.  Since, some of us have problems with our swimming skills, we requested that our ride will just be fun ride minus the throwing away thing.

Rochelle who was never comfortable with a deep water was forced to join us because we really wanted her to experience the ride.  She was really nervous.  She positioned herself right next to me because she said that she's comfortable with me.  I told her that I don't know how to swim and we laughed about our situation because the ride already started.  There was no backing out.

In our five-minute ride, with all the yelling and laughter to our heart's content, we finished the oval course without forcefully landing on the water.  I knew the kind of fear Rochelle felt but she managed to conquer it.  And she knew likewise that we will never abandon her if ever we will fall to the water which is beyond her comfort zone.
