Random Thought 101 - Overflowing

Why is it that when a goodness in a person is overflowing, even if he will be put to a delicate situation, the goodness in him still overflows?

The desire to help is innate in us.  When moments of great need is at hand, we take the initiative to offer ourselves and our services without expecting something in return.  But sometimes, because of our desire to help others, we compromise ourselves.

Experiencing the hot water because we extend ourselves to help others is an unfair return.  Though we are not after for something in return, a warm smile will do.  But when we are being harassed after offering ourselves is indeed an ungrateful behavior of those who were not able to get what they really want from us.  Such act is a devious behavior of someone who cannot accept that some things may not favor his way.

Some people learned their lesson the hard way.  Since experience is the best teacher, we cannot blame others if they will turn a blind eye on a situation because they were able to experience something that could had jeopardized their life before.  And even if they had what it takes to lend a hand, they just turn their backs.

For those whose hearts are overflowing with kindness, some setbacks will not deter them in helping others.  With the lessons learned, most probably, each step will be a calculated one.   But from time to time, the goodness in that person will simply pour out and will be graciously shared with others.
