Exploring Philippines 46 - Coron, Palawan (Post 2 - Arrival)

The moment we were nearing the port of Coron, the view of Mt. Tapyas from a distance greeted us. From what I saw, Mt Tapyas is the highest point within the town's vicinity.

After we got off from the ship, we were picked up by the owner of the Coron village lodge at the port and we were brought directly to the lodge where we will be staying for the next three days.

After settling our things in a common room, we had to change our clothes because our tour will begin right away. Breakfast call was exciting because I was expecting something "local" about the food. It turned out okay but not the one I was hoping for. Actually, I had several things in mind about the food that will be served that morning. But it seems where ever you go around the country, the national breakfast (if you may consider it) is tapsilog. Yeah, right. They served us tapa, sinangag, itlog plus danggit. Except for the danggit, eating tapsilog this time of day was like not leaving home at all. The only great consolation was the ambiance of the place and the fresh air of Coron.

It was almost 9am when we left the lodge and head straight to lambingan bridge. Lambingan bridge is the docking area of boats and our ride was waiting there. It seemed that the owner of the lodge who managed our itinerary was somewhat not good at all because it seemed that the negotiation of our ride took place that very moment. Anyway, after an hour of wasted time, we finally took off to our first island adventure.
