Poem 64 - If Only

The rain pours heavily
In the unholy hour of the night
I can feel its force
Even if it's out of my sight.

In a stormy night like this
I used to wrap my arms around you
But tonight, it's just a pillow
You just don't know how I miss you.

The wind blows strongly
The roof rattles endlessly
I am praying earnestly
Hoping it will stop right away.

The chilling effect of the wind
Penetrates deep under my skin
Only you can take away the cold
And warm my spirit within.

If only you're here with me
This lonely soul will not shatter
But no amount of rain and wind
Can drive my spirit to scatter.
