Moment 141 - One of a Kind Customer Service

We were patiently waiting at the port for the rest of the group for our summer getaway.  Though it was summer, the weather was somewhat erratic because of some scattered rainshower.

Since some of our colleges are not oftentimes travelling by sea, their faces reflected some worries and discomfort the moment the waves started to gain strength.  We were stationed a stone's throw away from the sea and we had a full view of the port.  The passenger vessels were moving up and down as waves hurried to splash at the shoreline.

When one vessel arrived, the makeshift passenger plank could not be used because the porters could not steadily hold it against the strong waves.  Most embarking passengers were not open to the idea of getting wet by stepping into the water which was about waist deep.  I guess, the porters here are already used to the kind of special service they provide for their passengers in times like this.  They carried the willing passengers on their shoulders. With the smiles on their faces, most likely, the passengers enjoyed a one of a kind customer service from the porters.
