Moment 114 - Massage

Aside from movies and food, my other indulgence is massage.  At times, when I have some extra amount, I would have a massage session almost every week.  And I find it rewarding and rejuvenating.

Around the metro, there so many spas and massage parlors to choose from.  A massage can range from 200 pesos to more than a 1000 pesos depending on the package that you are going to select.  There are some well-established massage parlors and spas that have their signature massage.  And there are so many similar establishments that are just so-so.

Whenever I want a massage, I would usually choose a weekday.  During a weekday, only few customers can be seen inside a spa especially if it is late in the afternoon to early evening.  Since there are no waiting customers, the therapist is more focused to his client rather than speeding up the process in order to attend to the waiting one.  At the same time, after a session, you can simply doze off and extend your stay and ask the therapist to wake you up at a particular given time.  This you cannot do in crowded spas and during week ends.

Normally, an hour of massage is not exactly an hour but somewhere from 40 to 45 minutes only.  But if you can find a good therapist, it's already enough to relive the stress and get rid of those cold lumps especially in the upper back of your body.  And after the session, some spas are generous enough to offer a light snack, coffee, or tea.
