Food Trip 122 - Buto ng Kamansi

Kamansi is a vegetable and its texture is similar to langka.  It is round and when used as a vegetable, its color should be green.  The moment it becomes mature, it turns to light yellow.

A mature Kamansi can no longer be used as a vegetable.  Hence, we try to salvage its seed and cook it with water until it becomes soft and ready to eat.  There is no cooking skill required for you only need to boil it with enough water.  Once the meat of its seed is already tender, it can be eaten by removing its hard shell.
