The passing of someone close to you is such a terrible news. But the worst part of it is when you learned that he simply snapped and chose to end it all.
At times, we might be hearing someone that it would be better to die than to endure all the sufferings. With all the troubles, stress, and what seems to be an endless torture could be the reasons why some choose to entertain the idea of death as the ultimate solution.
A wise person gave me a piece of advice regarding this thing. She said that we don't know what is in store for us after this life. As Christians, it is a mortal sin to end your own life and there is no forgiveness on that act and the fires of hell would be your final destination. She further added that as long as we live, we also have to learn to deal with all the trials that will come our way. Since we are still alive, we are also given the opportunity to find ways in order to overcome it. Running away from our troubles and ending our own life is not the only option that we have. And once we do it, it cannot be undone afterwards.
I've been in that crossroad and I cannot say that I am a strong person. I entertained the thought of simply shutting my eyes and sleep for eternity just to end all my problems. But after evaluating all possibilities, I still chose to live another day. Living this life is no paradise but ending your own life is a total nightmare. And at the end of each day, if only we know how to appreciate all those blessings, we will still prefer to live another day and give life a good fight.
Be strong, have faith, and don't give up. There are always people around us that are willing to help. Just learn to accept your limitations and weakness and ask for help. It is never too late to value your life.
