In a world where money almost makes it go round, if you
don’t have it means the world will never spin at your will. It is a sad reality and it is almost
factual. Money attracts people and the
way you manipulate your money may likewise be manipulating the people around
you that longed for a little less of what you have.
But in every rule, there is always an exception. This exception depends on how we draw the
line between making money rule over our dealings and making money to strengthen
our dealings. Both ways involve
risks. It is a matter of taking that
risk in order to find out ourselves how far we can go being a slave over our
money or how willing are we to risk our fortune for a “trust” that is always
elusive when money is involve.
I guess, one time or the other, we had our own share of
being gullible over a friend who is in dire need of money but only to find out
that it is as good as a donation in advance for his funeral. How many ties had been broken over this
matter?
There are also some instances when we can rightfully declare
that our friendship is far more important than money. And there are certain individuals whom we can
share our fortune without having regrets afterwards because deep inside in our
hearts, we know that helping a good and true friend has no preconditions
whatsoever.
